A Cappella and Beatbox Society

Hello, and welcome to the University of Sheffield A Cappella & Beatbox Society!

We're an easy-going a cappella group that meets every week to rehearse and experiment with all kinds of music using only our voices, from chart hits to old school classics, choral to hip-hop - it's varied and a lot of fun!

We currently can't run any rehearsals due to COVID-19, but hope to restart in semester 2! Until then, we're planning lots of online activities and socials, so you can still get involved! Be sure to follow our social media and sign up to our newsletter for more info -> (newsletter: https://forms.gle/hpKeouK2p7xwU13h6)

We have our main non-auditioned group, Factory, and a smaller auditioned group, Steelworks, who tackle more challenging arrangements and technical pieces.

We're always happy to have new voices join us! Please do feel free to contact us if you have any questions, problems, or just want more information about the society.

The membership fee for semester 2 (if we can restart rehearsals) will be £5, for semester 1 we are offering free 'memberships' for access to our online content and socials!

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
