Animal Appreciation Society
Special Interest/MediaWelcome to Animal Appreciation Society
Founded in 2018, the goal of our community is to bring together students who have love for animals, to exchange ideas and to be friends. Delivering the right ideas for animal protection, teaching about rare animals and what we can do to improve their chances of survival on earth, promote the fashion of animal conservation, and advocate the idea of rejecting animal performances. We would also like to attract more students to has the idea of living in peace with animals for life, and to be more friendly to animals.
What do you do in AAS
Hold lectures on animal rights, pet vaccine knowledge and anti-fur
Host Film nights about extinct animals
Visit homes of stray animals and local animal shelters. We would work together with local animal shelters to help stray animals find the right family.
Zoo, farm, and cat cafe trips
Raise funds for the Animal Protection Association.
Host parties with a specifically friendly animal theme, where we encouraged people to wear items of clothing that were ethically produced with animal welfare in mind to promote discussions, or just a fun animal themed costume so we could talk about our favourite animals.
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
