Christian Union Society

Faith

We are a group of students who join together from many different church denominations to celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ. We exist to share the love of God on campus and to give every student a chance to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus. All are very welcome to join our meetings and events!

During term-time, we meet together on Monday evenings to worship God, pray together for friends and the campus, and hear from the Bible.

There are more activities going on in the week as well! These include small groups to dig deeper into the Bible, prayer meetings and international café.

We also put on other events throughout the year for anyone to find out about faith in Jesus Christ, including lunchbars, evening events and Text-A-Toastie.

For more information, see our Facebook page or drop us an email.

The focus of our activities is not just to provide a social group for Christians, but to enable those who are interested to find out why people still follow the teachings of a man who lived 2000 years ago and why they claim to be restored by dedicating themselves to him. We aren't a replacement for church; instead we work alongside them and seek to link first year students up with local churches from the beginning of their time in Sheffield.

Come along to any of our weekly happenings to get a flavour of what we do; you're sure to get a warm welcome!

Committee

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
