Sheffield Dance Society are proud to be the biggest activities society within the university and we hope 2020/2021 will see lots of new faces to join us! If you have a passion for dance and want to improve your technique or just fancy trying a new fun and energizing activity to keep fit then Dance Society is definitely for you! We hold weekly classes in ballet, tap, modern, hip hop and contemporary as well as a range of workshops in all sorts of styles. With classes ranging from beginners to advanced, there is something to suit everyone.

We also like to take our moves out of the rehearsal rooms and on our exciting bi-weekly socials. There is also the opportunity to perform and compete with Dance Society in shows and attending competitions against other universities across the country as well as at our very own Sheffield University dance competition. And as if that wasn't enough there are opportunities to volunteer for a local charity and even an annual tour!

To keep updated with Dance Society activities including social events, join our Facebook group 'University of Sheffield Dance Society', add our Facebook account 'Hendy Dancesoc', follow our Instagram 'sheffield_dance_soc' and Twitter 'SheffDanceSoc' and give us an add on Snapchat 'shef-dancesoc'.

Committee

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
