Guild of Change Ringers Society
The Sheffield Universities Guild of Change Ringers is a small society of dedicated, fun-loving ringers! We always welcome new members whether you can already ring or not, and we have an experienced team who are always willing to teach. Bell ringing is great fun for people of all ages and abilities. You don't have to be musical, or strong, but enthusiasm and patience always help! For more information on the ancient art of bell ringing, check out this website: http://www.bellringing.org/ Due ot COVID-19, only service ringing is taking place at this time, and only at the tower captain's discretion, so if you want to ring for services either contact the tower you want to ring at directly, or contact us at SUGCR@sheffield.ac.uk and we'll get in contact for you. We are currently based at St Marie's Roman Catholic Church (19:00-21:00) for teaching, meet at door on Norfolk Row at The Crucible end. Some other bell ringing practices in Sheffield include: St John's Ranmoor on Tuesdays (19:30-21:00) Sheffield Cathedral on Thursdays (19:30-21:00) St Mary's Wakley on Mondays (19:30-21:00) UPCOMING EVENTS: There are currently no events planned.
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
