What is HKPASS?

The Hong Kong Public Affairs and Social Services Society (HKPASS) aims to encourage the understanding of Hong Kong and awareness of various social issues among the student community in Sheffield. By providing an open discussion platform and informative materials related to the social, economic and political developments, we endeavour to organise meetings that allow analytical and constructive discussions for any students interested in these issues.

Public Affairs
We aim to inspire members to have independent and critical minds with confidence to voice their ideas and listen to others. We hold regular discussion forums, workshops and talks on a wide range of topics. We also organise debating activities to enhance members’ public speaking and communication skills.

Social Services
We encourage our members to involve in community and social services by connecting with several local ethnic minorities charities, including Lai Yin Association and Holly Hagg Community Garden. We look forward to expanding our partners.

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
