Medical Ethics and Humanitarian Society

Medical Society Sub-Committee

MEDICAL ETHICS AND HUMANITIES ARE IMPORTANT FOR YOU, NOT JUST FOR EXAMS

Who are we?

The Medical Ethics and Humanities Society are interested in all things to do with: ethics; law and forensic medicine; philosophy; history; literature; art; sociology; anthropology; music and more. We are not just a debating society.

This year we have two key aims:

Raise awareness and inspire interest in issues that are relevant for medical studentsLobby for more medical ethics and humanities teaching in medical curricula

We need more members! Join us!

Follow and like our social media pages to see how medical ethics and humanities is relevant to YOU.

Expect topics such as:

        White privilege in medical education

Ethical issues of student volunteering during COVID-19

The law and blame culture in the NHS

Get involved!

We need people to share our posts, keep an eye out for current topics in medical ethics and humanities and join us for some exciting events later on in the year – we’ll keep you posted.

Thank you!

Committee

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
