Medics' Netball Club
Medical Society Sub-Committee
We train every Wednesday at 6-7pm at Sheffield Girls High School throughout the year. This is for anyone who is keen to join netball, whether you’ve played for years or want to start now!
Our winter league teams have extra training on a Monday evening (7:30-8:30pm)
The Intramural team also train the 1st Monday of every month
We have frequent socials organised by our fabulous social secs. They range from bar crawls, meals out, charity fundraisers, pub quizzes etc. Usually fancy dress is involved!
We also go to the Bloomery after training on a Wednesday for a catch up over a drink and wings!
Every year we go on tour and this year is set to be HOME!! Tour is such a fun weekend, past locations have included: Brighton, Newcastle, Prague and Barcelona
We have 6 teams in the club, you are able to play for more than one!
We enter 3 teams into this local competitive league after trials in September. The matches are on Tuesdays from 6pm onwards at the EIS Sheffield. This is a great standard of netball and the matches are so much fun!
The intramural team plays against other courses at the university (i.e maths, politics etc.) every Tuesday at a time between 4pm-10pm. You don’t need to trial for an intramural team you just sign up on the week you want to play and pay £1.50 for the match! Just join the intramural group linked to this page!
The NAMS teams play against other medical schools across the country. There are around 6 matches which will take place on weekends between November and March. Anyone is welcome to play in these teams.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
