Welcome to the MBB Society! As a society, we aim to make sure every MBB student has the best experience possible at Sheffield, through amazing nights out, trips abroad, quizzes with your lecturers and so much more! As well as loads of amazing socials, we are also passionate about academic and personal development. We try to support students through revision sessions during exam season and invite guest lectures and speakers to enrich your knowledge outside the curriculum. This year, we are also an official events partner with Halad To Health - an Australian-based Not-For-Profit that provides free health education to some of the most disadvantaged communities in rural Philippines. This partnership means we get priority access to their free events, as well as the opportunity to go on a "mission trip" to help provide free health education in the Philippines! MBB Socials Last year we had so many great nights out (including Bioween - a halloween-themed night out just for those studying a biological science) bar crawls, a Christmas meal, a charity pub quiz where students went up against the lecturers, and even organised to go abroad to Amsterdam! To keep up to date with what events we have on at the moment click the events tab to buy tickets, check out our social media or subscribe to our email newsletter! MBB Sport There’s loads to get involved in with MBB, especially all of our sports teams, which are open to all. We take part in Football and Netball leagues along with other department societies across the entire university. Charity Ventures This year, we are proud to support Weston Park Cancer Charity Weston Park Cancer Charity, based right on our doorstep in Sheffield, provides crucial care and support for cancer patients. Cancer disrupts the lives of patients and their families, which is why Weston Park gives support in the form of professional advice, sociable events with games, crafts and singing, as well as massages and yoga, which make a huge difference. Around 600 Weston Park patients also participate in medical trials each year, funded by the charity, enabling life-saving research into cancer treatment. Last year, MBBSoc hosted charity weeks as well as other events throughout the year to raise money for Weston Park Cancer Charity to support the amazing work they do. We also provided some volunteering opportunities for students, as well as tours of the hospital. This year we hope to beat last years total and get everyone involved in supporting this fantastic charity! Membership Becoming a member entitles you to discounts on ALL MBB socials! All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
