WELCOME TO NHSF SHEFFIELD! We are a Hindu Society open to both Uni of Sheffield and Hallam University students. Our aim is to Preserve, Promote, Practice and Protect our Hindu Dharma within university. We hold events for everyone throughout the year, beginning with our Meet and Greet, giving you a chance to mingle with the committee and other freshers. Following this is the massive North Zone Garba, held in Manchester in conjunction with Hindu Societies across the North. We then have our flagship event, Sapne, celebrating Diwali over a three course meal and an entertaining show. Later in the year is Holi, a fun and colour-filled day.  Weekly aarti's and educational events, debates and quizzes give you the opportunity to stay in touch with your religion away from home. While Sewa week is held simply to do as much as possible for charity! At Sheffield we aim to be up there with the best at NHSF Sports Competitions and we hold weekly football, netball, badminton, kabaddi and Kho sessions. Regular cultural dance and performing arts practices ensure that we are ready for large regional events. We are currently the Best Faith Society and in the top 4 for Society of the Year. This year promises so much and we are looking forward to welcoming you into our Hindu Soc family! How to join: Email us, join our Facebook group or tweet us.

Due to the current circumstances, this year we will be charging no fee to become a member!

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
