Welcome to NigSoc, The Nigerian Society!

The Nigerian Society brings together Nigerians at the University of Sheffield to promote the Nigerian socio-cultural identity.

The aim of the society is to learn, participate in and promote the diverse Nigerian cultures and ethnicities. We also help to integrate new students into the university system, and create a general forum where issues, interests and events related to Nigerians at the UoS.

Typically, the society organizes social events, academic and career talks, and fun trips. We have also actively take part in the Student Union events and activities such the International Cultural Evening (ICE) and the World Food Festival. In the current climate, we are set to have online events such as Games Nights and Campus League Football (5 or 6-a-side to be decided).
