Pet Society partners with local charities to gives students the opportunity to spend time with animals in a variety of settings including puppy days at the SU, dog and pony walking and cat socialisation at the local cat shelter to name a few! All of our events and sessions are commitment free so you can come along to as few or as many as you like. We offer the chance to volunteer with animals allowing you to make a difference and improve your mental well-being in the process. We hope to offer a relaxed, healthy environment with tonnes of fun socials and easy access to furry friends. We can all get a little homesick, stressed and overwhelmed, Pet Soc is here to help alleviate some of that. We welcome students from all walks of life and particularly encourage engagement from overseas students, BAME, LGBT+, disabled and other minority student groups as we think Pet Soc could be particulary beneficial to these students. We offer events to suit all members from sober socials to nights out as well as sessions involving a variety of animals including cats and kittens, dogs and puppies, Shetland ponies, alpacas, guinea pigs and many more!

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
