Welcome to University of Sheffield Planning Society! The Planning Society is run completely by students which are taking a course within the Urban Studies and Planning Department. We are proud to be working so closely with the department and are able to provide the bridge between the staff and students. With this connection we are able to offer you so much to help you academically with your time in the department and obviously to make sure you enjoy yourself with many socials over the coming academic year.

With regular events be sure to keep up to date with our facebook page to find out whats happening with the society and in the department!

What we are offering this year:

Over the course of the year we are aiming to provide you with as many socials as possible, with our first being a virtual pub quizzes. A social every month will be planned, as well as non-alcoholic options, cocktail making and planning themed night outs. At the end of the academic year, we are planning to put on a formal end of year event, which will be a great way to finish off your university year in style!

As the Planning Society is a departmental society with a long and strong relationship with our department, we are able to provide you with some fantastic opportunities to broaden your knowledge and experience in the planning world. These opportunities are things such as, inviting external speakers from the professional world of planning to discuss current affairs and issues within planning. On top of this there will be further talks with many other professionals!
