Quidditch is a full contact sport with roles for all sizes and abilities of players. It is based on Harry Potter but it has grown separate from it as a sport in its own right. Sheffield Quidditch was founded in 2015 and has fast expanded since then. It has two teams: Squids and Steelfins, comprised of students from both Hallam Sheffield University and the University of Sheffield as well as non-students. Quidditch is an incredibly fast growing sport that is open to players of all abilities and genders and welcome all those interested to come along and try it out, as there is something for everyone. We usually train in Ponderosa two times a week during term time. Exact dates are times are posted in our Facebook group regularly (join to find out more! Link below). Trainings are open to everyone, including brand new players, so please feel free to come along and say hello! You are welcome to watch or play. We will also be present at the University of Sheffield activities fair on the 23rd of September so please feel free to come along and say hello! Committee: Amit Portnoy (President), Laura Collins (Secretary), Sam Round (Treasurer), Ani Pesola (Inclusions Officer), Reuben van Zyl (Coach), Jasmine Malee (Social Secretary), Liz William-Powlett (Social Secretary)

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
