Roboteer's Society

Special Interest/Media

We are the University of Sheffield Roboteers' Society - we build and fight antweight-class combat robots inspired by the likes of Robot Wars, Battlebots, and Robomaster as well as involve ourselves in the proliferation and distribution of general robotics knowledge. We're a very active society that attracts people from other universities and groups from all around the UK to compete with us and exchange ideas - you can find a number of us talking and sharing ideas and designs for robots; combat and general purpose alike, in our Facebook group. Other ways of keeping up to date with our planned events include following our twitter account, joining our Discord server and signing up to our mailling list. You can also view videos of previous fights and events on our YouTube channel. Our combat robots adhere to the Antweight World Series Rules, please consider them while designing your combat robots. If you are interested in giving a short talk or presentation on any robotics subject, or want to contact us for any other reason, please contact us at our email address. We look forward to hearing from you!

Health and Safety Information

All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.

A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students' Union.

It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
