Thank you for ranking us the best SU in the UK for the eighth year running!
The latest results from the annual Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey have been released, and our students have kept us top for another year.
The survey conducted by Times Higher Education, gathers feedback from students at universities across the country. Sheffield Students’ Union have topped the ‘Good Students’ Union' category once again, which means we retain the title for a massive eighth year running.
Students’ Union President Christy McMorrow said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for Sheffield Students’ Union to have been rated the best in the UK for a record eighth year in a row. It’s testament to the time and dedication of both our students and staff.
As an organisation we pride ourselves in supporting our students to gain a varied, useful, and engaging experience, whether they want to make change in the wider world or just enjoying a fun night out with friends.
Thank you to all our students who took part in the survey - it’s you that make the Students’ Union what it is today.”
The University of Sheffield has also been voted number one university in Yorkshire and third best nationally for offering the best student experience.
Professor Wyn Morgan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching at the University of Sheffield, said: "We are delighted to be ranked so highly for our exceptional student experience once again.
“Choosing to go to a particular university is more than an investment in your career. It also provides you with a life changing opportunity to broaden your horizons, develop socially and academically and transform your future.”
