Notice of Elections

SU Council Elections 2019. Any student, in any year, can stand to be a Councillor.

As a member of the SU, you can engage in democratic decision making at your SU, whether that is electing diverse leaders who represent your interests, or participation in decision-making through referenda, petitions, debates, surveys and discussions.

Students’ Union Council sits at the centre of SU democracy. 66 students, from different groups and academic departments, meet throughout the year to make sure that the SU is listening to, and working for, all students at the University of Sheffield.

Every year, you elect the students who will represent you on Students’ Union Council.  Any student, in any year, can stand to be a Councillor, so look out for more information on Monday 30th September, when nominations open for all SU Councillor positions.
