Coming to you

Get involved

We are more than a building, and you can get involved wherever you are right now. Why not continue a passion you have already discovered or try something new this semester? Get involved with Volunteering and RAG to learn how you can give back to your local community. Fancy trying something new why not check out our jam packed Give it a Go programme.

Give it a Go

Give it a Go is an events programme full of one off activities for you to try. Many events are run by Clubs and Societies, so it gives you the opportunity to try something new without having to commit your time. From Life Drawing and Language Courses to Yoga sessions and Dance classes, we've got a whole programme of activities running through our Give it a Go Spring Semester programme. Better still, most of our sessions are completely FREE!

Sheffield RAG is a working committee of students at Sheffield Students’ Union who organise bundles of fundraising events over the academic year.

All fundraising is completely student-led, this means that the committee, and student groups they work with, choose exactly which events they want to run, and the charities that benefit. Supported by a full time staff member, they aim to raise as much money as possible, and have a lot of fun in the process! Get involved with this this semester!

Campaigns toolkit

Your SU is here to empower you to stand up for what you believe in, and this tool is here to help you translate your frustrations, feelings of hopelessness or anger into productive political action.

Help and support

We’re here to help with uni life. If you need any advice on your course, money, housing or visas. The University and Students’ Union have many support services, schemes, and groups ready to help wherever you need it. Our Student Advice Centre has a comprehensive set of advice web pages on matters relating to your course, finances, housing and wellbeing. If you need further support, you can arrange video call appointments with our specialist advisors.
