In 2015 there were only 17 black woman professors in the entire UK University sector.
Curricula, courses and universities have been criticised for not reflecting the society that we live in and instead focusing on a traditional, white, Western history.
Join us on
Monday the 12th of March
to discuss how we as students can liberate the curriculum.
The event will be from
16:30-18:30 in Gallery Room 4 (Students Union)
We have some fantastic speakers who will be focusing on:
• What it means to decolonise the curriculum
• The BME attainment gap
• Consent in the curriculum
• Sustainability in the curriculum
• A workshop on how we as students can begin to liberate the curriculum
