Sheffield University, together with the Students' Union, does offer lots of advice, support and funding if you are a student organising activities or events. If you want to set up a project, start a business, or bring together like-minded people to make a difference, then please contact one (or more!) of our student-friendly staff teams.
In certain cases, funding will be available to help you get your idea off the ground – always ask what grants might be available and, how and when to apply.
Sometimes your activity/event cannot be supported or approved by the University or Students' Union because it carries too much risk (e.g. financial or safety risk) or because it would require too much staff time to help you with your project.
