Remember, you can check your society statement online at any time: http://statements.union.shef.ac.uk - simply login using your society username and password and click 'View Statement'.

The Society and Committee Finance Forms below can be downloaded and printed off at a time to suit you. Don't forget that the Claim Forms and Purchase Order must be countersigned by your Treasurer and if it is the Treasurer's claim, the President should sign it. The Credit Slip is for paying-in so it doesn't need a Treasurer's signature. If you would like the Credit Slip photocopying as proof of paying in, please bring it to the Zone Desk to be photocopied.

As the Students' Union is a charity itself, we cannot fund events or activities which aim to raise money for other charities - it's against the law! Therefore, please do not apply to any of the funds for an event which aims to raise money for charity, as it will be declined automatically.
There are other ways to raise money for charity events however. Contact Sheffield RAG at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like support to organise charitable events.

This pot of money exists to help societies fund events, equipment and activities that relate to their core aims and objectives. The New Equipment Fund (NEF) is for funding new equipment or resources that helps to further the aims and objectives of your Society or Committee. NEF is open to all Societies and Working and Representative Committees. Applications are reviewed by Societies Committee weekly during term time.
The New Ideas fund exists to help societies and committees finance original, innovative events or activities which they have not held previously. Formerly known as the Creativity Fund, this award has been used to fund trips to perform at Edinburgh Festival for example. Applications for this fund are reviewed by Societies Committee on a weekly basis during term time.

With over 370 Societies, Working and Representative Committees of such diversity at our Students' Union, what better way to show off what you do best than through collaborating on a new initiative together. This fund exists to help just that. Applications for this fund are reviewed by Societies Committee on a weekly basis during term time.

This pot of money exists to help societies and committees run activities and that relate to their core aims and objectives in the safest way possible. The money can help fund things like equipment, training or specific first aid/safety supplies that you may need for your activities. Applications for this fund are reviewed by the Student Groups Coordinator and Head of Student Groups Support on a weekly basis. Please contact email@example.com if you have any questions.
The Campaigns & Policy fund is there to give you a helping hand to campaign on - or progress - issues you care about. This can also include doing something to take forward an SU policy, like the ‘Accessibility on Campus’ policy, or ‘Internationalisation’ (but it doesn't have to be!). Examples from past years include purchasing apples for mental health awareness (£50), subsidising costs to attend the National Pride Conference (£100) and coach costs to the Yarls Wood Demonstration (£500).

The Student-Led Environmental Fund exists to help make some of your ideas a reality. If you’d like to run an event, project or campaign that has environmental aims, we’d love to receive your application. Ideas that we’ll accept applications for are varied, so don’t limit your thinking: Baking Soc may want to host a Vegan Brownie session; Boardgame Soc might want to host a eco-games marathon; or Bangladesh Soc might want to run a campaign to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change on Bangladeshi communities.

This fund is made from donations from former University of Sheffield students, who wish to improve the experience for current students. You can apply for grants of up to £2000 for events and equipment. The panel is made up of the Students' Union President, Activities Officer, Alumni Office Staff and some University Alumni.
