Description

Forge TV is the newest part of Forge Media and the University of Sheffield's very own television station. Set up in 2010, Forge TV is a student-run station with a Working Committee that operates within the stylish Media Hub in the Student's Union and has a large output of different shows that are put online and watched by a wide population of the University every week. Included in this output are entertainment, music and sport shows and a range of documentaries, politics shows and news features. You can always keep up to date with local news, sports and entertainment by watching Forge TV. Over the last few years the station has grown significantly and viewership has greatly increased since our launch in 2010. Our success has also been recognised by the University itself who awarded us with 'Most Improved Committee' for the 13/14 academic year and on social media we have 1,268 likes on our Facebook page, 1,081 followers on Twitter, and frequently updated Snapchat and Instagram accounts.

Forge TV offers a great chance to express your love for television media and you will be given the chance to present, film, edit or produce different shows. You also will have opportunities to interview visiting music acts, get media passes to big sports venues such as Bramall Lane, Hillsborough and the Motorpoint Arena, and get closesly involved with filming University events such as Union elections and Varsity.

How to Join:
