Our primary aim is to offer a broad range of activities and events to ALL postgraduate students - in other words, have fun! We organise a wide range of activities during intro week every year. These are crucial for helping new students to settle in, and to make new friends! After intro week we will continue to have 4-6 events every month. We aim to host a wide range of events, with as much inclusivity as possible; meals, bar/café meet-ups, hikes, bowling, cinema, laser quest and other sporting events are often in our calendar!
We also have links with the Postgraduate Committee (PGC), and in addition we are all established students at the university; therefore, we are well positioned to offer emotional, social and academic support and advice to you whilst at Sheffield; or alternatively, to direct you to the relevant group.
PGSoc is an interdisciplinary society run by fellow postgraduate students - we are constantly searching to improve and broaden the range of activities and assistance we offer postgraduates. Your participation, feed-back, comments, and suggestions are crucial to ensuring PGSoc is a continual success enhancing postgraduates' time at Sheffield.
