Stitch Society

StitchSoc is a craft society, we do many types of stitch work including knitting, crochet, cross stitch, quilting, embriodery - to name just a few. If it uses a needle or hook, we do it! It's a very relaxed environment where you can work on personal projects, have a chat, make friends and learn new skills (We're always very happy to teach you to knit, or sew or any skill you would like to learn). Our Give it a Go sessions are also a great way to learn something new.

All skill levels are welcome :). Meetings are every Tuesday from 5.30-7.30pm and are in the Activities zone in the Students Union. Feel free to drop in, have a chat and see what we do. During the general sessions we will bring along, fabric, wool, beads, ribbons, buttons which you are free to use with your membership. Stuck for ideas? We also have access to loads of books and magazines with project ideas, and sewing machines!

We organise  trips and socials throughout the year, but if there is anywhere you would like to go, or new craft you'd like to try in particular, please let us know.

We hope to see you soon!
