The Women's Campaign at the University of Sheffield Students' Union consists of the Women's Officer and the Women's Committee. Together we work to make your student experience free from discrimination and sexism, alongside the other Liberation Campaigns.
The Women's Committee is one of eight representative committees. We meet every Wednesday at 4pm to discuss women's issues and organise campaigns, events and fundraisers. The Wednesday meetings are open to self defining women and those with a complex gender identity that includes woman. There is no membership to join, just come along to one of our weekly meetings! Joining is a great way of creating real change, making friends and getting practical experience of campaign and event organising. Meetings are informal, with a diversity of opinion and debate. To find out where our next meeting will be, to get involved or to just come along and say hi, join our email mailing list (click on the big orange 'JOIN THIS GROUP' button) or check out our facebook group Sheffield Students' Union Women's Committee.
If you are having a problem with sexist or misogynistic behaviour we are always here to listen and support you, this can include problems in halls, academic departments or nights out.
