An opportunity has arisen at the award-winning Sheffield Students' Union for an Events Coordinator to join us for 12 months (fixed term).
You will join a team of Events Coordinators based within the Student Groups Support Department. Your primary responsibility will be to support student-led and strategic events within the Students' Union and beyond. From activities fairs and food festivals to national conferences and award ceremonies, this role requires someone with a passion to deliver a variety of events whilst also developing student skills as organisers and leaders.
As part of a wider team, your role will include working closely with the other Events Coordinators to contribute to the Students' Union's wider programme. This will include assisting with the delivery of the Arts and Culture, commercial and 'Give it a Go' programmes.
This role is fixed term for 12 months to cover for secondment leave of a permanent member of staff. Standard full time hours are 35 per week but please note there may be a requirement to work longer hours during the university semesters and shorter hours during vacation periods.
We're looking for someone who is self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and building relationships with a variety of stakeholders (students and staff). You will have excellent organisational, time management and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
