Project Data Analyst
£70-90 daily rate (negotiable)
Approx. 1 month duration (during June 2017)
The Data and Research department at Sheffield Students’ Union are looking for a Postgraduate student to assist in the analysis of its annual lifestyle membership survey.
Reporting to the Head of Data and Research your role will be to:
-Analyse the survey data collected - producing data tables, cross-tabulations, graph/charts, summaries of the results.
-Develop Powerpoint slides and recommendations based on the data collected.
To succeed in the role you will be an analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail. You will understand the importance of data and research, and enjoy manipulating data to discover key trends.
You will have excellent Excel skills with experience of analysing research data, using pivot tables and developing graphs / charts. You will also have experience of report writing and producing engaging Powerpoint slides.
You will be an ambassador for SSU and passionate about working for a dynamic, student-led organisation.
This role would suit a Maths or Social Sciences graduate, someone seeking experience in this field, or someone eager to work on a short term project in a student environment. The successful candidate will develop transferrable skills that will be useful in many other industry sectors.
