The UK’s no.1 Students’ Union is looking for a new SU chef to join its busy & vibrant hospitality outlets.
Reporting to the Outlet Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of kitchen assistants to deliver a high quality food service and outstanding customer experience.
You will assist with planning menus and cost out food specifications. You will also ensure that that all practices and team members are adhering with hygiene and health and safety legislation.
Although you will initially be based within Bar One, you will also assist colleagues within our other outlets as part of a wider team.
Your skills and experience
You will have experience in a busy kitchen environment, including staff supervision and working as part of a team. You will be able to motivate, lead and contribute to training a large team of casual staff to deliver high quality food products.
You will have substantial experience in following food safety systems, and a thorough knowledge of relevant legislation.
You will be an enthusiastic and lively person, who enjoys working in a flexible pattern, is able to work well under pressure, and genuinely has ambition to develop within the hospitality industry.
