Passionate about working in the third-sector? This scheme could be for you!
Sheffield Volunteering is excited to announce its launch of the 100 Hour Third Sector Placement. All of the listed placements are running this Summer. The placements are with a wide variety of charities advertising a range of roles from Conservation roles to Activites/Events roles. All placements will be £9.24 an hour for 100 hours. All placements will involve a full induction, dedicated line manager with regular supervisions, additional training (if required for the role) as well as an exit interview.
You can apply online by clicking on any of the placements listed. They also include role descriptions and selection information. For any other queries please contact Amita Brown via firstname.lastname@example.org or come to the Volunteering Office to have a chat. Please note these placements are available to current students only. To apply for these placements you must also be eligible to work in the UK.
If you are an international student you will have to apply for a National Insurance Number. This process can take up to 6 weeks so we would advise applying for one at the same time you apply for an internship. You apply for a number by calling 0345 600 0643. Note that calls may be charged from mobile phones. You can use the phone in SSID (in the Students Union) - the dial in is *2207 from this phone. For more guidance on this contact Amita Brown via email@example.com or come to the Volunteering Office for advice.
