Liberation Officer

Role Description

Salary: £20,130pa
Hours of work: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Purpose:
  • To represent the views, and promote the interests, of students from liberation groups, and those who face systemic barriers to participation at the University.
  • To lead campaigns to create an environment free from all forms of discrimination.
  • To develop and support programmes to tackle current issues affecting students from liberation groups and those who face systemic barriers to participation.
Dates: Wednesday 16th June 2021 - Sunday 27th June 2022
Who can stand? Any current University of Sheffield student who identifies as part of a liberation group (BME, Disabled, LGBT+, Women, Mature)
Other Info: All Full Time Officers also become Trustees of the SU. Candidates must meet criteria for trustees (e.g. not be bankrupt). See point 5 of the full T&Cs
