As you can imagine, the horrific murder of 50 innocent Muslims (including children as young as 2) has left many communities across the world in shock. With the unity and support of other student communities like yourselves, we will be able to fight the rampant racism, prejudice and bigotry that has increasingly become prevalent these past few years.
I would like to ask SU council to unite and as a representative body and pass a motion for the SU to denounce these happenings and raise awareness on these issues as they do with other minority groups.
Thank you for submitting this Idea. Now that this has received the support of more than 25 Students this will be discussed at the next SU Council meeting on Thursday 2nd May 2019. This will be held in Hicks Lecture Theatre 7 from 5:15pm and you are more than welcome to come along! I will be in touch with you after the meeting you update you on the discussion. In the mean time if you have any questions please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hi Youssef, your idea was discussed by SU Council and the meeting chose to pass a motion denouncing these events. Thank you for your submission, and as always, if you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch!
